Welcome to 9th grade Physical Science! This course offers an introduction to the scientific study of physics & chemistry. They are designed to prepare students for upper level and advanced placement science courses. Science is everywhere and is the central critical concept for almost every aspect of your life that most people take for granted. Your knowledge of science can help you to make informed decisions on subjects that may affect the rest of your life. Issues such as cloning, global warming, genetically modified food, and stem cell research are all issues that will have a greater affect on your life than it did on my generation. The simplest of concepts can be complex beyond belief and important beyond comprehension. SCIENCE IS HARD – BUT FUN. Ahead of you, is the challenging task of trying to “get a handle” on the science concepts that surround your life.
