Week 10 (11/2 - 11/6)

11/2- Grade print outs due today. Class Read Aloud: Section 3.1 (p. 66-74). Practice note taking strategies (3.1 Notes.)

11/3 (Guest Teacher)- Partner Read: Section 3.2 (p. 76-79).  Practice note taking strategies (3.2 Notes.) Homework: Review worksheet for 3.1 & 3.2 (due tomorrow.)

11/4 (Guest Teacher)- Correct & turn in 3.1 & 3.2 review worksheet. Partner Read: Section 3.3 (p. 80-85).  Practice note taking strategies (3.3 Notes.) Homework: Finish 3.3 notes worksheet (due tomorrow.)

11/5- Correct & turn in 3.3 note worksheet.  1st Quarter self evaluations.

11/6- Movies or Make-up Day (homework= complete any missing assignments by Wednesday!)

 Week 11 (11/9 - 11/13)

11/9- Start Lab: Crystal Growth.  Homework:  all absent/late work from 1st quarter is due by the end of the day tomorrow.

11/10- Finish Lab: Crystal Growth (conclusion due at end of period.) Homework: finish lab conclusion if you needed more time.

11/11- NO SCHOOL (Veteran's Day)

11/12- Lab (Crystal Growth) analysis/discussion. Video: "Geologists Notebook: What Exactly are Minerals?"  No homework.

11/13- Virtual Lab: Identifying Minerals. No homework.

Week 12 (11/16 - 11/20)

11/16- Start Lab: Identifying Minerals (make-ups during study hall.) No homework.

11/17- Big Picture Notes- Minerals.  Finish analysis questions on Identifying Minerals Lab (tag in notebook.)  Homework- define the vocabulary words from the notes (definitions must be in your own words!)  Minerals Test on Thursday.

11/18- Check off homework (vocabulary.) Review for tomorrow test (Jeopardy.)

11/19- Test- Minerals (all of chapter 3)

11/20- Conferences (Periods 1, 2, 3 only)
